"It’s hard to fully articulate how incredibly happy my partner Hugo and I are with The Sherman Messing Group. I’m not known for brevity, so please read on for full details on exactly how outstanding our experience with Harvey Messing has been!

In May 2024, I had the pleasure of being connected with Harvey and Elise at Compass regarding our upcoming venture into finding a new rental in Miami. As Tampa transplants from the year previous in 2023, we’d truly been put through the ringer with a previous real estate agent that was only interested in lining their pockets and didn’t care if we ended up in a bad situation (which we had). So taking the leap with another broker was something we approached with hesitancy due to some less than great history. But we couldn’t be happier with our decision and leap of faith.

From the jump, Harvey was ultra communicative and never over promised on anything. Personally, I’d rather someone be realistic about our options instead of over promising and the result falling short. Miami is fickle- lots of people selling you the “world” and all you end up with are scraps while their pockets get lined. This was not the case with the Sherman Messing Group, and we are so grateful.

We articulated our needs as far as pricing, location, pets, etc, and within the first two weeks Harvey had arranged a tour for us to go apartment hunting. He accompanied us on this tour, building rapport with each prospective landlord and their agent, and there was never a doubt during this process that we’d find the home for us. And indeed, during this first tour we found a prospective unit that was exactly what we wanted and more. I mean really, in midtown with a washer and dryer in unit, private parking, spacious, and a stunning view of Biscayne Bay- it was perfect! (Spoiler, we moved there!)

As many twenty-something’s, my partner and I have less than stellar credit and held concern that we’d find approval with these landlords and the condo HOA. Without Harvey’s expertise and outstanding professionalism, I ponder that our outcome would have been different. He was able to align with all parties, and as a direct result of his expertise, we were approved to move into the apartment of our dreams. We have a great relationship with our new landlords, and I know that is due to Harvey’s expertise in connecting tenants and landlords on a friendly plane.

We’ve been living in our new space for 1 month today, and it’s everything we wanted and more. Harvey ensured a seamless and stress free process. He accompanied us during the walk through of the property to ensure that we were moving into a space that was professionally cleaned, up kept, and working.

My partner and I hope to live here for many many years, but when the day comes that we decide to move again, whether it’s renting or buying, we both KNOW we will work again with the Sherman Messing Group! We will always recommend them to anyone we know moving to Miami for the first time, and I wish for their continued happiness and success. "
